Chet Hammill, MD, MCR is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. He attended college and medical school at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and completing medical school in 2004. He completed his general surgery training at the University of Hawaii, and subsequently completed a two-year Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgery Fellowship at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Hammill also holds a Master of Clinical Research degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He has a busy hepatobiliary clinical practice with a focus on minimally invasive surgery. His current areas of research include: minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, image-guided surgery, ablation therapies, and wearable devices for remote monitoring.
